What have I been up to lately?

Advent Calendar.
In our house, my wife and I usually have an advent calendar. Last year I had a Peppa pig calendar, and while I am all for eating chocolate, even though I am not supposed to, I decided to have something different this year. Novembers wages meant I had a little left over to indulge myself with, so this year, I opted for a more expensive advent calendar. Yes folks, this year I opted for a Star Wars Lego advent calendar, and my wife has opted for a Crafters Companion advent calendar. I can honestly say it has not disappointed. Each morning she opens a window, and gets a stamp, or small die, and I get a minifigure, or some sort of structure or vehicle. So far I have constructed some pod racers, C3PO and Darth Vader, both wearing Christmas jumpers, a clone wars robot, and some outpost beacons. They look and feel absolutely great to build, and I know in the future, I can pull them apart, and reuse the whole lot for worldbuilding, so that I can create scenes, to write in the books that I am writing (although I am not sure if I will be writing Darth Vader wearing flippers and kicking a small death star football around in any of my books in future, but you never know, haha).

From Tuesday 20th December, I shall be taking some time off for Christmas, and celebrating with family. I then look forward to coming back to writing in the new year, refreshed and raring to go. 🙂
