This month has been up and down.
The downs are, there are two people very dear to me in my personal life, who are very poorly, so that is taking up a lot of headspace in my brain.
The ups are, I am half way through editing Time Clones 2, and I am trialing an author group, where I get to do writers sprints several times a week. I have also been playing around a lot with scrivener, and even had a chance to make it work on a chromebook, woohoo.
After listening to a podcast, I found that one of my favourite authors Shane Millar of swmillar.com has brought out a book called How to write Novels Fast.
It’s easy to read, and definitely not a ‘must do’ manual for Authors, but more of a ‘you might want to try this, because it worked for me’ sort of guide. I am finding it very informative, especially given the fact that the author himself has written several books on the craft, and has attended many writing courses, so he really knows his stuff.

After 96 years, and the longest reign on record, our Queen, Elizabeth II has died on the 8th September 2022
Her successor, King Charles III has delivered his first speech, and the country is now in a national period of mourning, until the day of the funeral, with the family taking an extra week of mourning, after the state funeral.
God bless you Ma’am, and I wish you a good journey as you are reunited with your husband.
My heartfelt condolences go out to the family at this time.

After watching a video on tiktok on the 5th September, I felt the plight of one of my Author friends @lkwildeauthor as she told us that her kindle had a smashed screen, and could no longer read.
I looked at my old kindle, and decided it would be the perfect fit for her. Messaging her on tiktok, she was delighted at my offer, and the following day she posted a video thanking me for my generous offer.
I never asked for any money, even though she offered, because I believe in a higher purpose. We are all human beings, here on planet earth for a reason, and one of my reasons is to help. I like to help by paying it forward, which means I do something important to someone, that really makes a difference for free. This comes with one proviso, that the person I am helping will pay it forward, by doing something nice for another person, for free, that will make a difference to their life too.
In Lauras video, she pledges to help other people, by paying it forward, and if we all join in, in paying it forward, we can help make the rest of the world can be a happier place to live.

Bullet Journaling took a little bit of a back seat for a couple of weeks, as I tried out a new app I have found called Journalit!
The new app works surprisingly well, although it does have quite a steep learning curve. However, it has recently had a large update, in an attempt to make it look more user-friendly, it actually leaves me feeling a bit more cluttered, so I am finding myself drawn back to my bullet journal, and the comfort I get from putting pen to paper.

However, it has recently had a large update, in an attempt to make it look more user-friendly, it actually leaves me feeling a bit more cluttered, so I am finding myself drawn back to my bullet journal, and the comfort I get from putting pen to paper.
Recently I visited my mum, and she knows how much I love fountain pens. I was blown away when she gifted me this incredible dragon fountain pen, which has detailed scales, a full dragon clip, dragon claw, and a dragons eye. This hand-turned pen features real gold inlay, in a gorgeously magic feeling writing instrument.
It’s quite heavy, and even comes with refillable cartridge, which means less plastic goes into landfill, so it’s great for the environment too.
This pen is officially my favourite, not only because of the spectacular looks and feel, but most importantly, due to sentimental reasons.
