Here’s what has happened since last post.
UK lockdown.
Covid is still rife, and although the UK government are ensuring as many people get the vaccine as fast as possible, the mortality rate is still going up.
This means we are now on Lockdown, and stuck inside, great news for an introvert writer like me, because I get to carry on writing, and stay safe at the same time. The government does like us to get some exercise too, so myself and my wife went out for a nice 5 mile walk yesterday. 🙂
Poorly
Having said that, I have spent the last week in bed, with excruciating toothache and an inner ear infection. It’s not all bad news though, I have seen the dentist, and had some work done, and also rung the doctors for some antibiotics. I am now feeling almost 100%, yay.
New Books
I have started to read a lot of Joanna Penns books, and am currently reading “Your Author Business Plan”. It’s a great little book, all about how I can sell my books, so you can hold one in your hand, and how we can keep in touch in future, so you can see more of what I write.
New Email management system.
And… so that we can keep in touch in future, I am trying out a new email system, it’s called Convertkit, it’s free, and so far, it seems to be working quite well.
Podcasts, and writer things.
And I have saved the best for last, I have started to follow the “Great Writers Share” podcast, and am learning so much from Daniel Willcocks, and the authors he interviews. Becoming a patron of the show has now given me access to lots more resources, and so much information, and I am loving it.
