Hi everyone and welcome to another edition of Writers Roundup.
My Working Week
The last two weeks have been so busy, I was glad that it slowed down a bit this week. Editing took a bit of a back seat, as I am spending most of my time looking after my wife, after the fall she had a little while back, and we spent some time with family who came over for a few days.
Editing has also taken a small step backward since my macbook keyboard started to fail, and I ended up buying a cheap chromebook to carry on editing.
I found a free alternative to Scrivener, and now converted my manuscript to Novelist, and even broken it into chapters.
I have added some extra progress bars to www.brettishbooks.com to indicate where I am, and a highlight box to show you all what I am doing at the moment. I am still aiming for this book to be released in the summer 🙂
For regular updates check out the website at [https://www.brettishbooks.com](https://www.brettishbooks.com/) and look at the Editing accountability graph.
Reading
My kindle is great, and although I miss the feel of holding a real book, it means I can now take many books with me anywhere I got. At the moment, I am reading They ask, you answer by Marcus Sheridan, and Drawing Red by Adara Spence.

Learning
On Wednesday we the webinar was cancelled due to illness, but that was actually a good thing, because I have still got to catch up on last weeks. So far I have caught up on Search Engine Optimization (a cool way to get my website noticed), more website stuff, and email marketing. It’s really helpful that I am learning all of this, even if I don’t need to use all of it… after all, if I find something that works, I should be okay with just using that method for a while (I hope).
Ask The Author.
If you’ve ever wanted to ask me a question but never had the chance, then this section is for you.
Want to know where I get my ideas from? or how I carve out time through my day for writing, or how I manage to write a book, considering I don’t remember a lot? All these and any other questions about myself, my author experience, and books can be answered by commenting on this post.
